RB4-1 Tubeside Turbulent Flow Pressure Drop and Heat Transfer Results for General Atomic Fluted Tubes

An experimental investigation has been carried out using two General Atomic spirally fluted tubes. Turbulent tubeside pressure drop and heat transfer data were obtained for tubes with flute angles of 30° and 60° using the HTRI Single-Tube Single-Phase Unit. Water and air were used as test fluids and both heating and cooling results were obtained. The results are presented graphically in dimensionless form with the hydraulic diameter as the characteristic length.
