CT-8 Parametric Study of the Performance Range of the Vertical Intube Condensation Unit

This report presents a parametric study of the HTRI Vertical Intube Condensation Unit (VICU). The performance of the VICU is simulated using the Resistance Proration Method and the Colburn-Hougen Method. The simulations are done for varying temperature ranges and concentrations of the noncondensing gas. Experimental parameters are identified which would enable rigorous testing of the multicomponent condensation methods.
