CT-5 Condensation of Pure Components in Downflow inside Vertical Tubes

This report presents a unified procedure for calculation of local heat transfer coefficients for downflow condensation of pure components in vertical tubes. A comparison with available literature data indicates good prediction and the procedure is believed good enough to use temporarily in HTRI Computer Programs and as a basis for further analysis of condensation of mixtures. More data especially for flow regime definition are needed before a finalized method can be approved.
