Abstract:

Further analysis of data summarized in STG-22 leads to a simplified modeling option that improves the prediction of tubeside heat transfer data reported in literature for supercritical water and carbon dioxide. The new approach applies a multiplier to the HTRI single-phase correlation and decreases the heat transfer overprediction near the maximum heat capacity in the supercritical fluid phase.
