HTRI-developed solutions enable Members to demonstrate the value of their technology using software that captures complex thermal and hydraulic behavior, without the burden of developing and maintaining standalone software.
Integration with HTRI Software combines the reach of the HTRI community with the flexibility to support a range of industries and applications. This approach is particularly valuable when accurately predicting the thermal and hydraulic performance of a heat exchanger technology requires specialized methods that cannot be adequately represented using standard modeling approaches.
HTRI provides software development services for a variety of implementations, including:
- Custom Documentation: HTRI can develop custom checklists and Xchanger Suite® output reports that incorporate Member-specific formatting and branding, ensuring consistent designs and professional documentation.
- Catalog Integration: Heat transfer devices that have compatible geometry and can be modeled with HTRI methods, such as low-fin tubes and heat exchanger plates, can be incorporated into HTRI Catalog Data. These options are distributed with the software, making them available to the broader HTRI community for selection and modeling.
- Fluid Property Libraries: For producers of heat transfer fluids, HTRI can develop specialized property libraries that can integrate with HTRI platforms. This enables exchanger designs to be modeled using validated fluid properties within established operating limits.
- Software Extensions: HTRI develops dynamic link libraries (DLLs) that provide Xchanger Suite with proprietary tubes, fins, plates, and inserts requiring specialized thermal and hydraulic methods.
- Extensions can be distributed with Xchanger Suite or exclusively to the technology owner.
