Abstract:

The HTRI General Cooling Water Fouling Method (GCWFM) produces reasonable values of asymptotic tubeside fouling resistance and exhibits the proper trends with respect to velocity, wall temperature, and water chemistry. These asymptotic tubeside fouling resistances are typically less than TEMA fouling factors for untreated cooling tower water.
