HTRI, the world-recognized leader in heat transfer, was incorporated in 1962 to conduct industrial-scale research. Nearly five decades of work in process heat transfer technology are captured in several hundred technical reports and summarized in our Design Manual; the technology also is provided to our customers in the nine components of HTRI Xchanger Suite.
Our research is currently conducted on six pilot-scale rigs at our state-of-the-art Research & Technology Center located in The Business Park in Navasota, Texas. These studies are augmented by the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and advanced laser techniques including Particle Imaging Velocimetry (PIV).
Our focus remains applied, industrially relevant research, design tools, and services. HTRI’s Stream Analysis Method, our first major breakthrough, is the basis for Xist, the world’s most used shell-and-tube design software.
