Heat Transfer Research, Inc. (HTRI) is pleased to announce the release of Service Pack 2 for Xchanger Suite 6. This update adds the ability to load Honeywell’s UniSim® Design Shell-Tube Exchanger Modeler files (*.STEI) as well as legacy HTFS® and Aspen TASCTM (*.TAI) files. These file types are now supported as native input file types and can be loaded just as easily as Xchanger Suite (*.HTRI) files. Future service packs will allow for additional file formats and exchanger types.
In September 2009, Heat Transfer Research, Inc., and Honeywell® entered into a strategic alliance to bring added value such as this new translation functionality to customers of both companies. Additionally, UniSim® Heat Exchangers software products are now available for licensing directly from HTRI.
